The qualities that make a best friend a best friend would have to be that they are honest to you. They make sure to tell you the truth when you are wearing a bad dress; they also tell you the truth when you ask them if someone was talking about you. They would also have to be loyal. When someone hates you that use to like you they won’t hate you just because that other person hates you. They will stick by you when you are alone or when you need help. They will also like some of the same things you like. This way you can hang out and do something you both like to do instead of just what you want to do. They must also know when to keep their mouth closed if you say doesn’t tell any one. They must also be able to tell you what to do when you’re going to make a mistake. A friend is someone who will never leave you for a popular crowd, loyal, trust worthy, honest, respectful, funny, kind and always there to help when it is important. I know I would love to have a friend that I could tell anything and not worry about it being around the school the next day.

To be honest friends like that are hard to come by. I haven't found many. My mother comes the closest and we get into some good arguments sometimes.
